Returning students: if you took the SAFER course in a previous year and wish to retake it to obtain an updated certificate, please take the "Basic Handgun Safety & Introduction to Concealed Carry 2021" version of the course.

In this course, you will learn the principles of handgun safety, the fundamentals of handguns, the practical issues surrounding concealed carry of a handgun, and the legal issues related to firearms, concealed carry, and personal defense. We'll also discuss how to move beyond this basic introductory course and obtain hands-on training from qualified instructors, and extend your skills into intermediate and advanced topics.
